Judge Falsely Accuses Trump of Deporting American Toddler — Reality Tells a Different Story

You really can’t make this stuff up. The left-wing media is in full meltdown after a federal judge, Terry Doughty, pointed out that a 2-year-old “American citizen” — also known as an anchor baby — was deported with her illegal alien mother back to Honduras. Cue the hysterics about “no meaningful due process,” even though the mother literally requested that her daughters accompany her when she was deported.

Let’s be crystal clear: the Trump Administration didn’t kidnap this toddler in the dead of night and toss her onto a plane. The mother, an illegal alien who should have never been released into the country in the first place, signed a written statement — in Spanish — saying she wanted her daughters to go with her. Imagine that: a mother choosing to keep her family together. Wasn’t that what the Democrats were screeching about during the 2018 border debates?

Yet somehow, according to Judge Doughty, “the Court doesn’t know that” the mother really wanted her child to go with her. What does he want — a notarized video confession? Maybe we should have flown in a team of psychologists to assess her feelings mid-flight. The government even tried calling the mother during the flight to confirm everything, but — shocker — by the time they called back, the plane had already landed in Honduras.

The reality is brutally simple: if a non-citizen parent gets deported, and they want their minor children to come with them, that’s their right and their choice. The Trump Administration didn’t deport a U.S. citizen. They simply respected a mother’s wish to keep her family intact. Oh, and by the way, the “anchor baby” is welcome to return to the U.S. at any time, because that’s what citizenship entitles you to. But you can’t expect a two-year-old to stay behind in a government facility while her mother goes back to her home country. That would be the real family separation.

Meanwhile, the open-borders crowd and their legal enablers are trying to spin this into another “Trump Administration cruelty” story. It’s pathetic. If they were truly concerned about children, they’d be furious that this woman broke the law, endangered her kids by dragging them illegally across the border, and then put them in this situation in the first place.

Bottom line: this wasn’t a deportation scandal. It was the U.S. government honoring a mother’s wishes — and following the law. Maybe if more judges, politicians, and activists understood that, we wouldn’t have a broken immigration system in the first place.
