For months, the mainstream media and Democrat strategists have been obsessing over the price of eggs as if they were the holy grail of economic indicators. Their argument? High egg prices prove President Trump is failing. But that narrative just cracked. On Tuesday, officials announced that the price of a dozen eggs is now lower than when Trump took office—completely deflating one of the left’s favorite talking points.
Brooke Rollins, President Trump’s Secretary of Agriculture, confirmed the news, saying the administration’s focus on lowering costs and addressing the avian flu crisis is already paying off.
“A good piece of news we’ve gotten in the last day or two is the price of a dozen eggs has now gone down a dollar and eighty-five cents since we announced our plan about a week and a half ago,” Rollins told reporters.

Even Republican Rep. Mike Collins (R-GA) jumped in, crediting the Trump administration for steering the economy back on track—despite inheriting a disaster from Biden.
And what a disaster it was. By the time Joe Biden finally shuffled out of office, egg prices had skyrocketed to an all-time high of $6.57 per dozen thanks to runaway inflation and reckless policies. The Biden-Harris administration also ordered the mass slaughter of 166 million birds, claiming it was necessary to curb avian flu. (Because, you know, their solution to every crisis is to create an even bigger one.)
Now, Trump’s leadership is turning things around. Commodity analysts pegged the national average at $6.08 before Tuesday’s announcement, showing that prices are beginning to ease under policies that actually make sense.
Democrats in Disarray Over “Egg-gate”
With their egg-price attack falling apart, Democrats are scrambling (pun intended) for a new strategy. Some, like Rep. Kristen McDonald Rivet (D-MI), admit that voters care more about affording groceries than about the left’s endless hysteria over “democracy” and “constitutional crises.”
But others, like far-left activist Ezra Levin, are furious that establishment Democrats wasted time harping on inflation rather than going after Trump’s allies, like Elon Musk.
“They’re looking at polls that say inflation is unpopular, and they think Dems can win people with boring, tired talking points,” Levin ranted.
Translation: The left has no idea how to handle Trump’s success.
At the end of the day, Americans don’t care about media spin—they care about their wallets. And under President Trump, their grocery bills are finally moving in the right direction.
