In a recent interview with Fox & Friends, Doocy revealed that shortly after the incident in early 2022, Biden gave him a call to “clear the air.” Biden reportedly told him it was “nothing personal” and even extended an offer for lunch when it was “safe.” Now, two years later, Doocy can’t help but joke that Biden’s “lunch card is probably filled,” because that sit-down never happened. “So, it was never safe to have lunch with me,” he quipped.
Doocy’s father, Fox News host Steve Doocy, also chimed in, noting that his son even tried to follow up with then-White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki about the promised meal.
