The idea that some Biden-appointed district judge—one Amir Ali—thought he could force the White House to immediately shell out $2 billion in taxpayer money to foreign contractors is laughable. This isn’t a lemonade stand dispute; it’s a question of U.S. sovereignty and fiscal responsibility. Thankfully, Roberts granted relief, sending the matter back for further review.
And let’s talk numbers—because they are staggering. More than 90% of USAID contracts have been eliminated, saving the American people a whopping $60 billion. Imagine how much of that money would’ve disappeared into the pockets of corrupt foreign officials and shady NGOs under Biden. But of course, leftists are up in arms, crying that Trump is “decimating” their ability to “help” third-world nations. Translation? They’re mad that their taxpayer-funded cash cow is being slaughtered.
The White House is making it clear: the U.S. government will pay what it actually owes for legitimate work, but not a cent more for waste, fraud, and abuse. There’s a reason why these funds were frozen in the first place—it’s called accountability.
