Picture this: the latest act in America’s most riveting political drama is unfolding, and it’s as gripping as ever. Fresh polling data from The Wall Street Journal puts President Donald “Dodgin’ Bullets” Trump slightly ahead of Kamala Harris in the race for the White House.
The Wall Street Journal’s numbers indicate Trump is holding a slim lead at 49%, with Harris nipping at his heels at 47%. This poll, taken between July 23 and July 25 among 1,000 registered voters, sketches an image of a nation split down the middle, but tilting just a smidge towards Trump. The HarrisX/Forbes online poll echoes this narrative: Trump at 47% and Harris at 45%.
If Trump’s numbers keep rising Democrats will replace Harris too. These Democrats will eat their very own for power! Trump Is Absolutely Smoking Kamala in Latest Rasmussen Poll https://t.co/oyNe1Ts8YI

Our current Commander-in-Chief, a veritable magnet for media attention, has been deftly sidestepping both literal and figurative bullets. Legal hurdles, intense media scrutiny, or the relentless wave of public opinion – he seems to relish the turmoil. His moniker could very well be “The Teflon Don,” since nothing seems to stick to him, much like Reagan who also sported that nickname.
In contrast, Kamala Harris seems to be hitting some bumps in the road. You’d think that with Joe Biden bowing out and passing her the endorsement baton, she’d have some wind in her sails. An earlier Reuters/Ipsos poll even had her leading Trump by two points. But alas, later polls flipped the script, revealing a reversed ratio and leaving Harris scrambling to navigate her own set of obstacles – primarily drumming up enough support to remain competitive.
Biden’s choice to bow out was met with resounding approval; a whopping 81% of respondents in the HarrisX/Forbes poll backed his decision to step aside. Yet, in spite of this wave of approval, Harris has struggled to translate goodwill into solid poll numbers. The liberal media appears to be bending over backward to spin this positively for her, but the numbers don’t lie – or do they? In an era where “fake news” is a common refrain, the reliability of polls is questionable.
As we hurtle towards Election Day, the tension is mounting. Will Trump hold onto his slight lead? Can Harris rally enough support to stage a comeback? Let’s keep our fingers crossed for the former.
